The "Who let the Data out - UH, UH, UH-HU-HU" Edition

A recent Harvard Business Review article dropped some truth bombs about Gen AI.

It confirms what intuitively a LOT of US guessed: AI can help us be more fulfilled at work.

The 1st edition is about what the Singapore Government communicated last week.

A study of 500+ admin and HR professionals revealed incredible stats:

  • Teams with managers that used the technology themselves saw 350% higher adoption rates. This created a supportive environment for experimentation, that in turn spread like wildfire across teams.
  • HR professionals using AI for focus work reported spending 29% less time on routine tasks, leading to 17% higher enjoyment and 12% higher effectiveness in their roles.
  • Teams that co-created their AI implementation had twice as many active users and reported 13% greater overall job satisfaction.

And I love this little story:

“We directed our teams to use the tool to compose a Shakespearean sonnet or a brief poem about their week at work to share with their colleagues.” The teams that completed this exercise saw 47% higher adoption than other groups.

I will continue hammering on this point: just get your people to PLAY with AI. Get them in a room, use the tools, make it work for THEM

And now that I have data to back it up, I will be EVEN more annoying.

Re-skilling our organisations might be the most important step we take today.

To get us ready for a future...  That is here already.
